When player is dying and everything is fading, image overlays also have their opacity changed to disappear together with the rest of the room.

Unfortunately after the death animation finishes or is interrupted by undoing the changed opacity remains creating visual issues.

This can be seen in the hold I attached to the other report I made: http://forum.caravelgames.com/viewtopic.php?TopicID=44751&page=0#435405

If you die to the roach you can see the image fade out (in 5.1). Interrupt the fade by undo and you'll notice the explosion is still partially transparent.
Let the death fade play till the end and the game will automatically undo, leaving the image completely invisible.

Oh, this may explain a glitch that I've seen with a custom element I've been using in a hold in development. Just wanted to say that I'm glad this has been found and is being worked on.

Can confirm in 5.1.1.alpha.2020-10-16 that in the example hold linked to the opacity of the image overlay returns to its expected transparency when you die, both when you let the death animation play out and when you interrupt death via undo.
