If you try to place a mirror at a spot that already has a mirror, you'll have two mirrors on the same spot. This only seems to happen in TSS.

If you try to stab the mirror, only one of them will be destroyed. If you try to push the mirror, you'll get two mirrors.

This doesn't work if you try to put three or more mirrors in the same spot.

Can confirm this. When you click the tile where the mirrors are, it says that there's only one mirror.

Here's a room showing the problem.

This issue is only happening in the room editor, correct?

i.e., not by pushing a mirror on top of a mirror, right?

I just did a quick test; I couldn't push mirrors on top of other mirrors with any weapon or with Beethro's body.

I did get the bug to happen in the editor, and it worked as noted in the original post, regardless of how I pushed or destroyed the mirror.

Should have just pretended it's an incredibly subtle reference to the Banach–Tarski paradox.

...Sometimes I am astounded by my brain's capacity to come up with far-fetched excuses in order to avoid potential work.

No, the only way to place a mirror on top of another was in the editor.

This has been fixed in 5.0.2, although if there is any hold published which has this "feature" it will stay the way it is.

Tested in 5.0.2, and this issue appears to have been fixed. Can no longer place mirrors on top of each other.

Confirmed that this is fixed. Just for the sake of thoroughness, I tested this out on the following and you can not place a mirror on top of a mirror on any of the following:

Wall, hard wall, yellow, red, black, and blue gates(and sister gates), all pressure plate types, trapdoors (over both), platforms (over both), bridges, thin ice, fire and spike traps, hot tiles, fluff vents, all kinds of floor (including image).

You can not place a mirror at all on water, shallow water, pits, hold complete and master walls, or (interestingly) crumbly walls and secret walls. However, you can place a build marker for a mirror on crumbly walls, secret walls, pits, water, and shallow water and an engineer will build it. A mirror on a pit, shallow water, or water, can be pushed off onto normal ground once it has been built. This seems a bit buggy, but I'm not sure if it is an entirely separate issue or related to the original mirror bug in this thread. This is all in build 5.0.2.1004

Anything that is not "placing mirror on top of another in the editor" is a separate issue and, ideally, should be reported in a separate thread. :)
