I go and click Get Help for a Room, but the page ignores all my clicking on the pictures in the minimaps, and the only way is to manually press the buttons labeled "Go (directon)". This is on Mozilla Firefox.

It works fine for me, so it's not a general Firefox issue.

Have you tried it with Firefox in Safe Mode to see if it still happens for you? Hold in Shift while you start Firefox and it disables all add-ons.

If that fixes it, there's quite possibly an add-on (e.g. an overzealous JavaScript filter or ad blocker) getting in the way. In that case it might be helpful to try turning individual add-ons on or off to narrow it down.

I'm also using a version of Firefox I am being told I need to update on several sites like Youtube. Maybe it's a problem with older Firefox versions.

Firefox 23 here, and it works.

Yes, you can't generally expect sites to go out of their way to support obsolete browser versions. Earlier versions of IE and Safari sometimes get a pass because they ship with operating systems and people don't update conscientiously. It doesn't sound like this issue is on Caravel's end.

You really should be keeping your browser and plugins up to date, more than just about any other piece of software you use.

https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html
Each red highlighted vulnerability in that list is the sort of thing where if you browse to the wrong site your PC just gets owned, without you needing to do anything.

When you combine that with site defacements and people getting dodgy ads into ad networks, even major web sites can be 'the wrong site' on a bad day.

Like on Tuesday: http://www.computerworld.com.au/article/548352/askmen_com_website_redirects_caphaw_malware_websense_says/

Using an unpatched browser really is just begging to get hacked.
