I've just recently started to find music that I actually _like_. For a long time, I just listened to whatever my local classic rock station spoon fed me. Then I got hooked on last.fm, and I've found a ton of awesome bands.

Art Brut
Bloc Party
Elliott Smith
The Shins
Iron and Wine
etc. etc.

I hadn't realized that good music was still being made. I mean if I listened to "Radio NOW, Today's TOP Hits!", all I would hear is crap. Utter crap. Seriously: "It's bananas, 'b' 'a' 'n' 'a' 'n' 'a' 's'!" It's a good thing the internet is around.

I'd be surprised if no one's posted that link yet, but there it is if it wasn't. Best online radio I've ever used.

Wat you do is enter the name of a band that you like. The radio will play songs by that band, and songs by bands similar to said band. I've discovered 30+ new bands that I love within one week of listening to it. Seriously, try it out.

I posted it a few pages ago... unfortunately they got some new software and found out I wasn't from the U.S. of A. . I don't know where Chalks is from, but if he isn't American either, than he can't listen.

Okay, why am I getting mod downs for this? Read the damn thread. I was answering someones question, and the asshole decided to go and delete it. This is why I absolutely despise the delete option. It lets people be passive-aggressive or "permanently" get rid of their mistakes without having to make an apology. We should get rid of it.

I think it's supposed to be only one person making all these posts. And they don't really tell you much about the average Windows user - it's not really fair to judge any community by its stupidest, craziest members.

(I do wish I had the time to learn how to use Ubuntu and install it on one of my computers. Maybe over the summer I will... Anyone know if there good distros that support a tablet PC?)

I reckon it's actually different people. The last post especially has a different structure and syntactic style to the one mentioning the Vista advertising for example.

I share your view. I've been using various distros for 10 years or so, but have never installed it at home. I can't help you with tablet PC support though, but hope you find the time to get something on there. Since DROD was originally ported I pesonally have *no excuse* not to be running Linux
