Trickster, no.

You're not supposed to do that, you're supposed to link this instead.

This video might help those of you who are having trouble with this game.

Remember how in QWOP you could cheat by dragging yourself forward on one knee?

Try dragging yourself with your forelegs in CLOP and see what happens.

I got about a fifth of the way doing that, then got bored. If something entertaining happens, I'm not waiting around to see it.

You can actually avoid that easter egg as long as you use your back legs a /little/? But...that particular secret mode, I /think/ might actually be easier because it limits your ability to fall backwards, which is the only failstate.

It's very possible to fall horn-over-flank once you're moving quickly enough, but not in lame horse mode.

I don't think it's possible to get far in lame horse mode. The first hill is far too steep to crest. I was able to get further in normal horse mode but not by much (for the short duration I tried this game).

The main reason I find these games boring is that they are unrealistically difficult for what they're supposed to represent. Horses have dozens of gaits that work properly, but most of them fail to move you anywhere with this one. The Twilight one is even worse, though I did make it to the stairs at least.

Something like clop, but not so frustrating (very hard to actually fall down), which actually taught you different horse gaits would be pretty cool. You could score points for maintaining a certain gait, or for how fast you can go with each gait.

I'm tempted to write such a game myself but I don't exactly have the time for it at the moment.

Not true! I actually made it all the way to the first drop in lame horse mode. I more reliably get to that first drop IN lame horse mode than any other way.
I've also found about 2-3 gaits that reliably work in CLOP.

This game made me happy that I'm not a horse. That's only good thing I can say about the experience.

Okay, it's kind of funny to watch the horse moving so terribly.

I agree, I found that by adjusting you speed in lame horse mode you can make it quite far and over most obstacles. The problem is when you get moving too fast.
