Long time adventurer gamer, and definitely a fan of this game. Great job by the developers, artists and writers in bringing to life a very interesting and complex world. The storyline was well written, and kept my interest and humor going enough for several runs, just to be able to see the different endings.

My one complaint (which you guys already addressed) is the lack of voice acting, as a speech pack would have helped expand the characters within the game. But, overall, it's honestly a minor fault when compared to the enjoyment of the game as it stands. There -were- a couple of frustrating but also enjoyable moments:

The backstory to the introduction, and the interplay between the characters gave a good feeling for the world, and the political dangers that were to be had. I would definitely love to see a sequel at some point (Is this a possibility? Maybe? :), especially to tie up some lingering questions that remained out there.

Again, thanks very much for making this great game, and keep up all of your hard work and efforts in the future!

Voice acting talent is surprisingly hard to find and even harder to find for free, and each individual line and permutation thereof adds up to a lot of work which must be kept consistent. Also, it would make the game file huge.

Thank you for your feedback, it is always good to hear such things!

Actually we tried finding voice actors, and our biggest problem was the age. Pretty much all actors we could find were either teenagers or students; and yet the script calls for several people that are middle-aged (e.g. Geraint) or timeless (e.g. Nimwe). Old voices simply sound differently. This was our main reason for not creating a voice pack; the amount of work involved was another. Download size is really not much of an issue these days.

A sequel... well, that's probably not going to happen any time soon. But I have a few notes for it. Its working title is "A Tale of Two Goblins" and it focuses on Granarr and Kreiche (that's the goblin scouts) as they try to establish peaceful relations with Theylinn and find a way to trade for food. While they're doing this, Ruadh and Blossom try to repair the old house in the south of Havgan; Rhiannon is preparing her coronation which some people are trying to sabotage; and the Pooka pulls some pranks that earn her the ire of Nimwe. Branwyn might just stick around, even though she doesn't like goblins much.

And yeah, I love Loom. And Quest for Glory too :)

That definitely sounds like something I'd love to play !
And the original is great as well.

I personally thought it was a nice game, but- no offense- the ending was a bit dull and boring.

Also, Maeldun and Branwyn are a couple, right? So how come we never see any implication of them... you know... getting it on? Couldn't they at least embrace just once in the game? Maybe have him give her a farewell kiss, before leaving the camp?

Other than that, I enjoyed it.

what looks like some dead guy's head on a pillow.
It's a death mask actually :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_mask

It's there through dialog (though perhaps, not as affectionate as it could be). We were actually very constrained with animators. If we ever revisit it to rebuild it in AGS 3, I could look into it.

Yes, good point. Looking back on ATOTK, which was written about seven years ago, it contains several scenes that I now would do differently; my personal pet peeve is how the game treats rope as a rare item that's hard to get. I hope I've improved as a writer in those seven years :) I may want to touch up ATOTK's story at some point, although it would perhaps be more interesting to do something new.
