Yeah, when it comes to the "
Program Files"
folder, Windows can do some rather funky things in Vista/7 (I'm assuming your OS one of those). It's extremely annoying.
I work around this problem by creating a "
Game Files"
folder in my root directory, and installing my programs there. This folder has two purposes:
1) I always know what is a game and what isn't.
2) My saved games are always in the game's folder (except a few where I have no choice, and they get automatically saved in a folder in "
My Documents"
).
