After a long break from DROD, I recently replayed TCB. It inspired me to start making a hold where you play as a rebel citizen. Whether or not this will actually be completed at some point remains to be seen, but here is one level with eight puzzle rooms. I'm going to add something to the centre area later on.

Is there any way to create the power token effect with scripting? It feels a bit unnecessary to put a token into every room.

Nice hold! I solved the eight puzzles. Some of them are tougher than others: I think Once West and Twice East were pretty easy, and Once South Once West and Once North Once East were the trickiest, with the rest being medium difficulty depending upon how knowledgeable or good at manipulation the player is.

Anyway, you could try using a player role that starts out as a monster target (like the stalwart or decoy) and using the script command Set Player Sword Off. You would have to give that player role custom tiles and a custom avatar to make the player character look like a citizen again, though, and you would also lose citizen-specific abilities (such as the ability to hit orbs by running into them before using the power token). That might not be a problem depending on what kinds of puzzles you want to make.

Also I think this is the part where I shamelessly advertise Imperial Wandering, a hold with a Tar Technician player role. I don't know whether you played that or not but I can recommend it.

I agree. Nice. I, however did not solve 1S1W. I think this is an unfair room, since it takes a lot of experimentation to figure out how a correct formation could look (at least I think it would for me), and that experimentation in itself isn't easy to perform. It also felt like almost an exact duplica of a room in a larrymurk hold (I requested a demo for that one).

Others however enjoyd the room when it was in Larrys hold.

About 2E: Is your intended solution to build a wall of three citizens, and have one citizen luring the goblins to burn against that wall?

Will Mikko ever return to finish this hold?

Those eight puzzles were really cool and enjoyable!
