Is it just me, or did they forget to modify their pit graphic for this thing? They took out anything else that would give away additional information, like the shadows of walls.

I just uncovered (4, 12) for us all (assuming the board on the online bar game starts at zero, like the one in-game).

Gr, that looks rather fun.. if only I could access it I'm guessing this is another time-based thing like earlier goodies so clicking the bar hundreds of times in a row won't help much.

For anyone who doesn't know what this is about (and it's possible that visible cryptic things are better, in the end, than a whole lot of text saying "neener neener you can't read this yet", which is what we had for the last Riddle), click occasionally on the bar until you get something other than a Really Big Number (in the sort of message, or dancing roaches, that've been posted here in screenshots before).

Ooops, I think I broke it.

When I revealed the red door at (19,1), Beethro, all the roaches, and the tooltip disappeared, and the square at (19,0) is now different from the others.

There's an off chance that I only broke it for myself, since this game doesn't work as well with IE7... but I thought I'd ask. Can you all still see Beethro and friends in there?

Ok - the old lady is being dense again. (sigh) Why do I love this game when so often it leaves me feeling entirely stupid?
Let me tell you what happened and maybe some kind soul will take pity on me.
A padlock appeared quite mysteriously beside the bar. Knowing not what else to venture I clicked it and got the following messageI clicked on it again - just out of curiosity you understand I had no real idea of what I was doing - and a sort of room appeared. What to do with it was not at all obvious - Beethro remained unresponsive no matter what I did (and an unresponsive Beethro is a sad sight, not to say a bit alarming).
If in doubt search the Forums I thought - and did, and discovered here that a number of you have acquired the same room. However having read through the posts I am none the wiser. Clearly some of you are putting in . . 'codes'? somehow, but I can't even figure out how to put in a code, nevermind begin to work out what the code might be.
I'm flummoxed, befuddled, fair ferfochan and scunnert with myself!
If solving my problem would give too much away here in the thread then perhaps some knight in shining armour could PM me?

Don't feel bad, it's not exactly obvious. Occasionally, when clicking the bar, an unusual message will appear, telling you that you've found a Really Big Sword. The first time this happens, you can use this sword to open the padlock and gain access to the room you just found. But it is possible to receive more swords from the bar later.

The room you have found is partially obscured -- all the master walls in it only serve to hide part of it from us. At the cost of one sword, you can reveal part of it. If you have a sword, just click on a tile with a master wall, and that tile will henceforth be revealed to everyone who looks at the room.

You can also attempt to solve the room. To do so, enter a list of moves in the textbox below the room. This textbox uses the default DROD controls, so 'q' and 'w' represent counterclockwise and clockwise turns, the numbers 12346789 represent moves, and 5 represents a wait. Once you have entered your list of moves, click "Solve". This also costs one sword. The server will then play through the room using your list of moves, and show you what the room looks like afterwards. The resulting position is obscured in the same way as the starting position.

Presumably, the end goal is to enter a list of moves that result in Beethro killing all the monsters and leaving the room.

So other than creating a Bar-clicking macro, is there any unboring way to get these Swords? After much clicking, I got 1. Which was needed to unlock the game. I guessing they're rare, but this is kind of rediculous. The active is community isn't that large, so you don't need to holdback swords too much.

They're not being held back.

Clicking hundreds of times does not significantly improve your chance of getting one as compared to just visiting the forum regularly and clicking then.

And creating any sort of automated way of 'clicking' is frowned upon, and may lead to repurcussions (such as but possibly not limited to never getting any swords ever again).

Oh, and Schik has promised a sword to anyone who sends in nominations to the Seventh Annual People's Choice Awards.

Ah, many thanks Watcher - I don't feel quite so clueless now.
Oddly, I got one of those sword messages ages ago - back in October and commented HERE but I don't know what hapened to the sword.
Did Schik do all of this? - if so I think we all owe him a pint of something nice!
