I also thought it was weird, not in any tangible way (it's a completely normal response to a heart attack), it's just that such an infamous figure is gone and will suddenly start being treated with respect. I wonder what they're going to put for "race" on his death certificate.

Anyway Farrah Fawcett, who quite possibly saved millions by turning the small leak when she was originally diagnosed into activism. She died, predictably, of her cancer.

Reading my last post, I seem to have treated Michael Jackson with disrespect, let it be known that he may have been, on the international scale, the most well-known, influential musical figure in history.

I heard this on MIX 102.3 radio station this morning whilst driving to school.

Michael Jackson may have done some really weird things (e.g. get plastic surgeons to make him white, married the woman who looked after him when he was a kid) but no matter what, Its sad to see him go.

I just read the news in the paper.
I feel terrible
Chills all over my body.
Almost didn't say a word since I heard the news.

I admit the last few years I wasn't that a big fan anymore,
but owning all his CD's went to 1 concert of him
(and copied all his CD's on my cellphone in mp3)

I'm gonna miss him.

Michael Jackson is someone who believed that he was robbed of a childhood, and wanted nothing more than to never have to grow up and face a world that to him was cruel, bizarre and frightening. He got his wish, but his Never-Never Land had none of the wonder or comfort he was seeking, he got only what he wanted to keep: pain. There are those who will call him crazy for this wish, but if the one thing you know in life is so terrible it convinces you that the rest of the world is something that needs to be denied whenever possible, is this not the only sane choice? Rest in peace, sad old child, rest in peace.

Cardiac arrest is where the heart fails to contract, in other words, it stops beating. A heart attack is caused by a blockage in an artery, slowing blood supply to the heart. They are similar, but not exactly alike.
