I can't seem to kill the first 4 roaches, no matter what I do. Does anyone have a few hints on what I should do?

I don't see how to kill the roaches,
they always overwelm me :(

My sword is pointing N and I kill two roaches but I can't see how I must do now. every move I made they kill me. SOme one can give me any hint? :?

And, as soon as I posted this, I got it...but then I had to restart over the next part, and don't remember how I did it.

And now I've got it, and have attached a demo of the relevant part for anyone else who's having trouble.
