Is there a button to mark individual threads on a board as read, rather than all threads?

Thanks.

Try clicking on them ;) Having a Tabbed browser helps.

The easiest way is to simply click on the thread that you wish to be mark as read. But either than that, there's no way to do that to multiple threads at one time, like deleting messages in your e-mail inbox.

Keep posting,

EDIT: Post collision.

Clicking on them was what I was trying to avoid. I may only be able to visit this forum every 2-3 days and each board gains a bunch of newly posted threads. Yet some threads I may not be interested in, so I was hoping I could just dismiss them without individually opening each one so that next time I visit they won't remain new just because I didn't read them.

Oh well.

Tell me, what browser are you using?

Or, if you don't want to click on them and then hit back, then selectively go to and read the threads on a given board that interest you, and then click the link to mark all remaining posts as read.

Errr... you're supposed to open all threads you're interested in in tabs, *then* hit "Mark all posts in ... as read"...

At least that's what's been working fine for me since about forever. :)

EDIT: Followed by reading the threads in the newly-opened tabs, of course...

np: Pan Sonic - Koneistaja / Machinist (Katodivaihe / Cathodephase)

Actually, yeah. Read the ones you do want to read, then mark em all as read.

That's what I do.

What would be handy is to be able to mark a thread as permanently read. That way you could ignore predict the next poster, create a cheat and avatar wars(just my personal top 3 to ignore).

Or you could just ignore Forum Games.

Just putting in my 1/50 of a dollar.
Actually, I already did, but since I was only agreeing with someone, I was only putting in 1/100 of a dollar that time.

Not quite. I do want to avoid those three threads, but I most definitely do not want to avoid the Guess the Screenshot thread.

You know what would be cool? Now that we have this ability for threads & boards, it would be nice if the "new posts" would omit ignored threads & boards.

You know, I think it already does. It does for me, at least.
