Ooh, time to break out the lawyer suit again: The rules clearly state to defend against the last poster and attack the next poster. (I've been saving this one for just such an occasion.) Nothing about attacking the last poster, let alone posters not immediately adjacent. Therefore I declare your attack invalid and get back to my powers.

Hmm... I summon a puppy to stand right in front of the camera and block the next poster's view.

I cast the spell of revival on Robobob, breaking the rules only because I enjoy the Circle and I want him to be alive to continue the game. I cast the spell of warping on Monkey's attack, causing the -80 damage attack to dissipate into a fine mist. I cast the spell of the icy touch on the next poster, which freezes their heart into a lump of solid ice and kills he/she (wizards can be politically correct too, you know :-))

Yes and no. The point is to make it interesting to watch and interesting to play. As such, godmoding is sanctioned and encouraged... but only in defense, not offense. The fight cannot end, and nobody can be eliminated... only kept from being able to defend against a particular thing. And no attack can be undefendable... So... shall we continue?
