I actually knew it without looking at the title bar.

There's much cool stuff so the game can be played without DOSBox etc here. Although having posted that, I can't now follow up with a screenshot of Igor...

Excellent game! It took me ten years to complete. I am a completionist, but I must admit I never came back to many games over such a long period. I love the fact also level 3 is *hard* and few people get past it.

It actually runs without Dosbox anyways for me... as does Igor.

No DMA or interrupts I guess.

Wow!!!! Solomon's Key. Played it on the 520 ST. What a frustrating but addictive game. Never quite worked out all the secrety weird stuff thou. Nearly finished it however.

Correct! I am also a big fan of this game,played it in my parents' pub. Great to hear you like the rule-based movements of the enemies. I used the sparks and skulls in my game Bound Around (in the form of ladybugs and pumpkins). I definitly want to make a Solomon-like game sometime with more emphasis on logical puzzle solving (although not as logical as your chess game i presume). The original Solomon was a bit too action-oriented, which is natural because it started as a coin-op game.

I played this game once, I think...or an earlier version of it, or a more primitive looking version on a different OS. Don't know its history, but I do remember the board. When The Sims came out, I remember thinking thought it seemed inspired by or based on this game.
