I had a good red floor puzzle I tried developing, and I came across something rather interesting. It appears roach mamas CANNOT reproduce to red squares. I am not sure if this is intentional, but I don't recall a single King Dugan room that requires that roach mamas don't reproduce on red squares, and it would make sense to allow roach mamas to reproduce on red squares as well. Is it a bug? If so, it's easy to reproduce--create a room with all red squares and a bunch of roach mamas--no reproduction occurs.

I seem to remember that being the case in the Dugan rooms. It's not a bug.

This was discussed a couple of weeks ago around the beginning of the beta. One of the rooms in my first hold "the sewers of blorn" relied on this behavior - you were in a room with a whole army of queens and you had to keep most of them on the trapdoor area to survive.

As far as I can see, this situation is a tradeoff - either way some puzzle types are enabled and some are disabled. Personally, I have no idea which of the two settings is better.

Very true--hey there could be some good puzzles of that type--I like that idea As long as it is purposeful, the red square roach abortion is fine.

Note queens don't spawn on open yellow doors either.
