Here's what you do. Type the first four letters of your favorite vegetable, followed by the first two letters of your last name. Press space, then type the first three letters of your first name, followed by the first three letters of the most difficult school course you've ever completed. Then, if you really want to, you can insert an extra letter or two anywhere if that improves the name IYO.

For example, someone named Buddy Rogers who liked beets and finished a course in kinematics, could be, well, Beetro Budkin (an H could be added if he wanted)!

I like it! It makes sense to me that it shoud be your Eighth name though, since that's the world that DROD takes place in.

Well, officially, my Eighth name is Mafinot Budkin, as that's the name I took while I was caretaker of DROD.net. However, according to this convention, my name would be Striol Matodif (I added the o in the last name). Three rank points to the first person to correctly guess my favorite vegetable and the toughest class I've taken.

Hey, this is quite fun.

My Eighth name is Pereja Marsam. I changed the second letter to E because it looks better this way.

By the way, both my favorite vegetable (fruit actually) and most difficult course are actually written in Danish.

You got it. I had differential equations last semester, and to be perfectly honest I probably shouldn't have passed. I failed two of the three tests and the final, yet I ended up with an 84 in the course (70 is passing here). I think the prof who taught it, an adjunct teaching here for the first time, was afraid to fail anyone because if he did he might not be asked to teach next year. I'm usually pretty good at math, but for some reason I just couldn't grasp diffeqs.

Fairly obviously I chose carrots - although I doubt anyone will guess what the course was... (the i and o were added).

Wouldn't the Spanish pronunciation be "Kah-ree-hey", with a rolling r? And did your course have anything to do with Descartes? That's the only thing I can think of

I dunno... I can't think of a completed course which was difficult for other than ethical/philosophical reasons (e.g. Management "Science"), or due to stultifying boredom with the subject matter (American and European history come to mind). I suppose I could go with either MANagement (the art of treating people like pets), or one of the LAW courses ("lawyers don't seek the truth -- we take a position"... bleh!).

And this "veggie" thing? When did fruit become veggies? Do legumes count? What about melons? Pecans? Kelp?! Ok, ok. I'll go with ancestry and take potatoes for $3.28, Alex.

So, with one vowel added for pronounceability, and using my formal first name...
