This seems impossible.
All three orbs have to be struck and require different sword orientations. There are only two of us, so one has to strike an orb, then change sword orientation (while on hot tiles as there's no leaving them) and strike another orb. Orientation can only be changed via a turning move. If I turn while being on a hot tile, I die before the mimic's action. If I'm not on a hot tile, but mimic is, it dies without actually turning. So, none of us can change sword orientation after striking an orb, and this isn't solvable.
What am I missing?

I seem to be having troubles here too... Despite the fact that I think I know what the trick is:

However, I don't think it's possible to reach said formation without the mimic getting toasted.
What other formation could possibly be helpful then?
