Happy new year, everyone.

My husband, mrimer, and I are working on releasing Time Fenix this year. I am proud to announce I've been involved in playtesting, story, and art direction. Hardly can wait for people to enjoy the game. We've put our heart and soul into it. Look forward to more news through this year.

As our seven kids are growing up, I'm planning on focusing more on the Caravel community with my husband.

What are your dreams for 2025?

I have plans to start publishing a web serial this year if I can get past the publishing anxiety. I also am looking forward to cooking a lot more than I have over the past two years now that I have decent access to a kitchen.

2025 has gotten off to a great start. I'm definitely looking forward to continuing this by getting DROD RPG 2 out there this year.

It started off life as a 1 chapter DLC (Stalwart Selection?) but the DROD 4 engine room styles I had made for RPG and sent to Mike back in the middle of 2020 needed a new game engine to install, it was going to be very difficult to patch them into the Steam version of the game. So the hold got upgraded to full-blown sequel status and another chapter added. Then the story was crying out for a proper resolution and so a third chapter got added.

That's the story of how my hold for RPG ended up 3 times bigger than originally expected, and while I'm super proud of what I've made, I'm very much ready for it to be done. I'm working on the final level now, so the end is in sight.

I've also played Time Fenix and can vouch for how good it is. If I ever decide to venture back into Magic Tower development in the future, the deck building aspect of Time Fenix is definitely something I'm going to steal be heavily inspired by.

Hi, Kieran. Glad you're having a good start in 2025! Your game is definitely awesome. Mike showed me a few playthroughs of your levels and they are so fun.

To me, making a game is like having a baby. It's overbearing but exciting at the same time. In the end, it's all worth it, and it's such a good memory. Wish you many good memories in 2025 and to release your game successfully!

It's so special to me to see how members of the Caravel forum have stayed together here longer than biological families stay together sometimes. It's a touching experience to see how the community grows over the years, and it feels good to have reliable friends to chat with.

Someday maybe we can gather everyone together for a special occasion, like a reunion.

In fact, I'm a little sad I got separated from the game and the forum for the past months and I look to change that this year.
