however, i cannot get enough distance to the non-brained roach.

1 can i keep the brain alive? - i dont see how.
2 if beethro stands between two firetraps, does the roach make an unbrained move?
3 how can i get the unbrained roach far enough away from beethro.

the small corridor at 14/14.
you can wait until the firetraps at 14/22 and 16/22 get turned off, then play with the roach and store her at the bottom of the room.
releasing the roach by entering the small corridor gives you enough time to wait in front of the door at 13/11 until the roach passes the pressureplate at 13/16.
