Just thought I'd ask about it: could you tell me where to find more about the swan maiden motif? Of course it's one of the variants of the broader "turned into a swan" motif, but an amazingly disturbing one. As a feminist, rebel and asexual lesbian I tend to think it's almost literally the case: men steal women's wings...
