(If we really want to be as realistic as possible, she probably should have taken off her boots before she got into bed each time).
Well, the Quest for Glory hero does do that when sleeping at the inn in Spielburg. And he disrobes down to his underwear before sleeping at the inns in Shapeir and Rasier (in the AGD remake though, he stays dressed in the Shapeir inn).
Sorry to necro an old thread, but in my recent play, I couldn't help imagining the idea of the heroine actually losing her boots when robbed by Kraka. She'd probably go outside and have the narration say, "
Predictably, there is no sign of your assailant outside. You wonder how you're going to find them now. And what's worse, you suddenly realize they even stole the boots off your feet! You'd better find that thief and get them back, before you freeze your toes off."
(The coldness meter would also naturally go a bit faster at this point.) Then, when getting her possessions back, it'd say: "
You promptly retrieve your boots from the chest and put them back on. You sigh with relief and wiggle your toes, grateful that you can still feel them, before retrieving the rest of your possessions."
And if you try to leave Munarvigir before getting your stuff back, a narration message will stop you at the gate, saying: "
You don't want to go out in the woods, in bare feet. Especially during the Fimbulwinter! You should try to find your boots first."
I know, it's a silly idea, but I just felt like sharing it.
