This is my first release of Veere's dungeon, a single-level hold. Difficulty is easy/medium, although some rooms are at the ends of that scale. I've tested the hold and it should be solvable regardless of what order you do the rooms in. If you get stuck, post here and I'll help you solve the room, but I'm not giving away the hold secret! Hold is editable once you've solved it.

Are the yellow doors at the top and bottom of 2W supposed to open with the orb in the middle? Because it looks like after the third room the hold is a dead-end.

Edit: Never mind that, I'm a goof. Forget I said anything.

Further Edit: Played through every room up to the long serpent and roach queen room (2N3W, I think), and I just can't find a way to get past those roaches in time. So I'm gonna give you a :thumbsup on the hold so far, and since I don't feel like being frustrated today I'm going to leave it for now, come back to it later.

That's a very nice hold! I think it's nearly perfect - Could have been sent straight to the "Holds" section ... Good design and some original ideas.

I would rate it medium/hard, though.

I need a hint on 5N2W the brains and queen room. You have to loop through the rooms twice and I am always many turns too late and a roach gets stuck on the arrowns.

To be more specific, the looping isn't the problem, it's having to go back for that brain in the chamber above where you start.

Actually, I'm having significant difficulty with 2N2W as well. It looks like the only way to get to the brain is if you enter from the top, but that because you're forced to place the mimic early the only way to exit the room is if you enter from the south.

I understand how to get the eyes, but first seem to need to kill the roaches. I can kill two, but get killed by the third.

Any hints for a poor puzzler? :)

4N2W needs a green door so that if you back up to do 3N2W, like I just did, you don't need to go through the orbs and gates again to get back out.

Edit: Just finished the hold, very nicely done. Using some of my own tricks against me, yarrrrrrr.....

Dimono: You mean 4N2W to 5N2W? It's only a few extra moves to go through the doors, and considering that most players will only return there once at the most, I'm not sure if it's worth adding a shortcut which might break the architecture or make the room a bit more confusing. Of course, I'm open to persuasion though.

Keeping the brain alive when it looks like the most obvious play is to kill it. My next long hold uses that a couple times, as does Tar Caves.

I just completed this hold. (Yeeha, I didn't even need hints!) But there were some difficult rooms.
And I must admit that this hold was great work.

But I never found the hold secret because the stairs took me back to the beginning. (I'm glad they're going to fix the stair bug) So I can't open it in editor... :(
