I was playing a triva game and learned an interesting fact about roaches. Roaches can live up to 7 hours without their head! I am sure glad that Beethro is strong, quick, and accurate enough to annihilate each roach with a single blow.

Ahh, but he doesn't have to. Even if he cuts off their head and they are sitll alive, they can't still bite him, eat him, or even find him (after all, the only sense left is touch).

Roaches do have a sixth sense too, After all they know where Beethro is all the time. I wonder if it works without head...

I think Doom is talking about the fact the roaches always face you, even if they are behind walls, and on the other side of the room.

Well, it's hampered by the invisibility potion, so the roaches' magic sixth sense must be connected to sight. Maybe the walls are transparent to some wavelength that the roaches can see beyond the visible spectrum.

Incidentally, the player also has a magic sixth sense that allows him/her to see all the way down through the floors above Beethro directly onto his head. Just as if there were no ceilings! How singular.

I always attributed that to the homing device King Dugan stuck in Beethro's hilt without telling him about it. It sends out sonar signals so Dugan can monitor Beethro's progress, and the Roaches just happen to be able to pick up on the signal.

They do know from listening to him breathing. Just they can smell him even before that. After all, can you hear breathing across a room?

Invisibility - Impossible to see; not visible:

Seeing as the roaches are unable to smell you as well with the potion until you reach a certain distance, it wouldn't be the same thing.

Roaches rely more on sight than smell. They only smell you from a short distance, potion or no, but they always see you. Mabey the have infravision or these walls are glass or something (yeah, glass walls, that explains beethro as well).
