I see I still have a lot to learn about DROD even though I completed both Webfoot and Caravel versions. Many rooms seem just too difficult for me. (Onieromancer, your Treasure Hunt, level 2 is a good example. It has me completely bemused.)
I would probably find it really tough too if I hadn't made it myself. It's always easier to make a hard puzzle than an easy one, I feel, which is why good but not too difficult puzzles are hard to find. Actually, Eytan said once that he felt my hold wasn't too hard, but I think he was comparing it to Clayton's and Wesley's holds, and possibly his own.
But I'd be more than happy to post a demo for you on the room you are having trouble with, or now that we can post room images from holds in the Holds forum, go ahead and ask your question over there. Actually, I see now that you were having problems with the first room on level 2. Personally I think that is one of the hardest rooms in the entire hold, so don't feel too bad. A demo could help you out a lot I think. So, yeah, post over there again if you want some help.
Game on,
