Although some of the new music is good in TCB I am looking to add music from previous DROD games. Can anyone suggest which tracks would suit which types of rooms? In JTRH the drod.ini was simpler, think it was ambient, puzzle or attack type of rooms and it was easy to fit the music in.Looking at drod.ini in TCB though there are lots of types of room.

Nope. It's still attack, puzzle, ambient, and exit.

I can see that it basically is the same but there are different ogg files for different areas it seems.I might just experiment and see if the music fits in when i hear it.I guess if one was critical it could be said that none of the old music fits in as it's more "creepy" style music now!

Each one is a different style. So IceworksAmbient is the ambient sound during the Iceworks style, for instance. The [Waves] section is non-music sounds, like Halph saying "Got it!"

Does the command LevelComplete not work in the drod.ini for TCC as I'd love to have a certain piece of music play after the Exit Level sign pops up like it used to back with AE

There are four pieces of music for each level: ambient, puzzle, attack, and the exit level one. You can set the musics up however you want. I forget what it's called, though, and I'm doing some major reconfigurations to my computer's system, and mounting my hard drive right now could be exceedingly bad.

Oookayy...

DROD.INI editing >

In the part that is under '[Songs]' the tile set is compounded with the music theme, described as Ambient, Attack, Puzzle and Exit.

For example, if I wanted to use Vylycyn's Volcano style with DROD:AE music with a Puzzle theme, I'd make a new line as -

VolcanoPuzzle=thegivers.ogg

Ambient - no monsters (initially) in the room.
Puzzle - not many monsters in the room, or you stab tarstuff (less than 10 I think)
Attack - there are lots of monsters around.

But you probably figured out that out already... :P

As for what songs, eh, I dunno... :P Different style and wouldn't be particularly cohesive, tho' I fancy some AE tunes...

Ambient - Glad You Came, Nightwalk
Puzzle - The Spaces, The Givers
Attack - Delusions, The Way Down, Fortune

As for...

No, because that command line is used in '[Waves]' to play the harps telling you to exit level.

I understand the different types of room, all I meant was in AE Next Thing's Next used to play whilst you hunted around for the exit.Maybe I'm a bit old school liking that instead of just an ambient theme but it added a bit of nice tension in trying to find the exit.

Ya, I agree, but you can't.
