Hi all,

Sorry to be a pain, but I'm not receiving any key from caravelnet. I click on the button in DROD, and have doublechecked (and changed) my email address in the account details, but am yet to receive an email containing the key.

On a completely unrelated note, my sound effects and voices have disappeared. I uninstall DROD and reinstall it and they're there again, until I exit the program. Next time I run it, they're gone again. Any ideas?

Heya :P

Ok, first of all, do you get any sort of confirmation that the caravel key has been requested?(usually there is some sort of popup which occurs from memory) If not, check the icon on the top right-hand corner. Does it have a green tick or a red cross?

as for the other problem, you would get a faster response in this subforum. You might also want to check the DROD.err file in the data directory of DROD.

Oh, and welcome to DROD. I hope your enjoying it. :D

I've got a green broadcast tower in the top right hand corner, but no green tick or red cross. When I click the button it has a window that says "requesting caravelnet key" which then disappears after about a second.

With regards to the other problem, there's a whole lot of errors in the error file that basically say "sound not working!"

Edit : You do realise that you have to pay for CaravelNet as a subscription service?

About your sound problem, make sure you are on the latest patch level first. Then try posting in the bugs forum and someone should be able to help you out.

As for the caravel key not working, do you have a proxy/firewall/anything else that could be blocking DROD from the internet. Also, try leaving it on for 5 minutes or so, does anything change?

Failing that, try emailing the Caravel team.

Well, since you don't have a trophy under your post, we can see that you don't have an active CaravelNet subscription. If you purchased CaravelNet or got a free trial with another purchase, you should have gotten an email with an activation link. If you made the purchase but didn't get the email, then PM me your order number and I'll get you a link.
