I just looked up other quotes from Hackers, and I found this one:
Cereal Killer: When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things. What? It's Corinthians one, chapter thirteen verse eleven.
This is completely inspired, perhaps a tribute, perhaps a theft, from The Sandman comic books (by Neil Gaiman). There is a nightmare called The Corinthian who escapes the Land of Dreams while its master (The Sandman of course) is held captive for almost a century. He is finally caught by The Sandman at a Serial Killer's convention, which they call a Cereal Convention in order to avoid suspicion. If that quote above is a coincidence, I'll eat my shorts.
I probably should see Hackers one of these days, it sounds like.
