I would really like to see a text-based scripting where the tools we can currently use are only a front for those less experienced. If scripting were implemented like this then you could do whatever you want, based on the simple language, which I have no doubt exists somewhere.

This really could have potential. But how would we know the language? would it be something like basic or C++? Or would it be something else entirely?

I was thinking a BASIC variant as those tend to be easier to write and also fairly easy to use, although a C variant would allow easier control over each idividual NPC's position and facing, etc.
