this is the one i don't get (in this level, 'till now...), the others i fugured out by myself *hears playing a funny hymn for this success*

but here: i think to lure the queen to the yellow door isn't a big one. but when to open this door and what to do then i don't know

help me please up!

sorry, but this doesn't help me.
i managed the queen to the yellow door and back, to avoid spawning. then i walked back down and started a new run, stiil watching thatt the queen is on the trapdoors when spawning count is on 30.

the problem is how (...when) i now should open the door and how i will be able to bring her out without spawning to much roaches! i think it is possible to leave some roaches in the upper area, but only two between the inner arrows...

Beyond the door, there are still squares where the queen won't spawn.

OK. I'm feeling really stupid here. I've read and re-read every word in this thread, and quite honestly none of it helps me (though it probably will once I get further into the room.

My problem is that I can't even get started! When you enter, the queen always moves N – no problem I simply
My problem is where to go from there. If I send her down the most southerly corridor, heading W, she spawns before she's safe. If I send her back N up the middle corridor, she spawns too late – and there's nowhere to wait before she gets there so that she [doesn't] spawn on the trapdoors.

Can anyone point me twoards what I'm missing, what I'm doing wrong? I attach a demo of her spawning too late in the middle corridor.

Please note that posting pictures in the discussion thread is no good to me, as the website doesn't recognise which rooms I've visited (a problem with the corporate firewall, unfortunately!), so you will either need to give hints in words or post a demo.

For the corporate firewall bit, read section 7 of troubleshooting.rtf in your DROD Data directory. It explains how to configure DROD with your company's proxy settings. Post in General if you want more help with that issue.

I can get the queen beyond the trapdoor area just fine... it's when I get to the doors that it all falls apart. I have tried the direct approach (opening the door and sending the queen into the one-wide corridor early) and the indirect approach (sending the roach down, hitting the orb, timing it onto the last trapdoor, stopping it at the now-closed door, and then timing it again on the way back up) but still, no dice. What am I missing here?

I've sent the queen down the westernmost trapdoor corridor--that's how it got to the door area without spawn in the first place.

I'm officially at a loss for what to do. Backtracking helps me not--it shunts the queen into an area where I seemingly can't get to it. No matter what I do, the queen either spawns, or gets stuck. What am I doing wrong that I'm just not seeing? I have a demo...

Note that the numbers don't indicate places Beethro and the queen should be at the same time, but rather the order in which they should go to those places.

Beethro hits orb and waits until queen is in corridor leading to inner 2. Time it so she reaches end of corridor on turn 30. Once it's safe to move, head for outer 2.

You will have exactly enough time to get the queen to move left of the door on the next turn 30. Stay at outer 2, then move and send queen towards inner 3, timed so that turn 30 happens when she's on trapdoors. Move towards outer 3.

Again, use trapdoors to block spawn. Lead queen towards inner 4 while you move towards outer 4. From here the rest is relatively straightforward.

×Same basic idea I've been telling you about: it's okay to let the queen backtrack, provided it gives you a chance to change Beethro's position.

Going from the outer to the inner corridors is one way for that to happen, but not the only one.

Now you can go back down and lure her up again, but you're closer to where you need to be. Which means you'll have more time when you arrive there.
