× - The Entrance: Does the snake *has* to be that long? It took me 100 moves to kill the queens on my first try, and I then had to wait for slightly less than 300 moves until the snake died. On CaravelNet, it will also make the best demo for the room easy to get.
- 1S: Very nice room. I wonder if it is possible to do it without the Wubbas... something I shall have to try.
- 1S 1E: Another nice room, so no complaints here either.
- 2E: I like that room. I can't get the mimic to kill the last queen, though: how are you supposed to get that last kill? There might be a bug here: bombs were changed with 2.08, so it might be it. The other explanation is, of course, that I don't get it (and it's the more likely of the two).
- 1N: Grr. By far the room I like the least on your hold. Clearing up tar gets tedious rather quickly, and there is no real threat when doing that.
- 2N: Very nice. The actual quote is "No one expects the Spanish Inquisition" (article "the", capital letters to Spanish and Inquisition, and present tense), though the past tense could work, with something like "You sure weren't expecting the Spanish Inquisition", or some such. On another note, the script is used every time you enter the room, even if it has already been conquered.
- 1S 2E: Clearing up mud/tar really doesn't strike my fancy. Still, I liked it more than 1N, perhaps because it does involve some danger and thought (getting to the mothers and avoiding the spawned babies).
- 1N 1E: Great room. No, really, I'm not *always* negative. Excellent use of the eyes, and the coloured tiles are, well, brilliant.
- 2N 1E: Not finished right now, but so far, it's looking just as good as 1N 1E.
So, not a bad hold overall, with some very strong concepts, but also what I feel are weak rooms (particularly 1N).
