What am I missing? I think the snake patterns repeat after a few hundred, but I have seen no instance when the five orbs and the middle trapdoor were accessible.

I always read the scrolls. I think this one means to look on scrolls elsewhere for hints, but I have not been able to see all scrolls on the level, especially because 1W stumps me.
That is quite a bit of waiting... I hope I need not wait that long and check every few turns or so...
Sorry for being so bothersome, but I have been trying this room for a couple of days. Then again, I get impatient around 1000 of the same old ****, which is why I quit Bavato's Dungeon in the middle of the Tar Flood level.

I found the hint to this room after I solved it. (The hint is one room to the east of this one.) The hint is way off the mark, I solved this room with several hundred moves less than suggested.
