This happened to me in earlier version, I just forgot to report it.
Now I'm using 2.0.9 linux demo.

If I have my player already imported, and do it 2nd time for some reason (in my case - because restore wasn't available), I end up with endless loop.

checking demo integrity
checking savegame integrity
checking demo integrity
checking savegame integrity
...

I switched to another console and killed the first jtrh process. I expected the program to end, but I got "player successfully imported" or similar message. And restore started to work.

This is normal - it checks integrity one hold at a time, so you will see these two messages once for every hold you've got any saved demos for. This process can take a very long time if you have a large number of demos.

Well, in such case we (badgers in general) could use some less confusing messages.

I definitely agree. At the moment, we see progress bars on the screen that provide absolutely no indication of how long the process actually has left. Thus, they are more confusing than anything else.

Suggestion: add an "overall progress" bar that indicates how many holds have been processed and how many remain. This will mirror the two progress bar systems used in many installation applications and some download applications and will be far more useful.

In 3.0, the displayed messages will explicitly state which hold's information is being processed at each import step so it will be more obvious that the app is not stuck.
