There are few types of force arrows which I'm missing in DROD but one, which should be added as soon as possible is glue, which denies any movement. It would be ideal to use with Roach Queens away from walls. I would picture it as circle in colors of force arrows.

It can't be really an arrow type; I'm assuming you'd want to allow stepping *on* it.

I don't understand what you meant with:

I think that each object that is "laid" on tile and not tile itself (etc. wall, any door, pit, trapdoor) and changes directions from which you can enter tile and leave tile can be named Force Arrow - as it forces Beethro, monsters and mimics to enter tile from specific direction and then forces them to leave in specific directions (or not leave at all :))

Well, maybe I shouldn't at all use word "glue" - it should be force arrow looking like that (with arrow heads pointing towards center):

\\|/
-*-
/|\\

It's basically new type of force arrow - you can enter from any direction and leave in direction arrow points - as it points to the center of tile you can't leave that tile :).

I also thought about opposite arrow - which can't be entered but you (or monster, mimic) can leave in any direction - but it has only few uses.

What I meant is as follows:

A force arrow prevents all entry and exit from a specific direction. If you can't go from the arrow square to square x, you can't go from square x back to the arrow.

Ortho squares in JtRH work similarly - you can't step off them diagonally, and you can't step on them diagonally.

Therefore, if a square is arrow like, then if you can't step off it in any direction, then you won't be able to step on it from any direction.

That's not accurate. If you can't go from an arrow to square X, then you can go from square X to the arrow (assuming square X has no arrows of it's own)

It's not all that important though - I'd just call this a glue square, and remove "force arrow" from the description.

We already have those. They are closed doors.
