I think there denfinately should be a link to the active posts from the day before, because no-one checks the forum just before midnight! This would stop anyone missing important posts.

Yeah! Yeah! Burn the witch!

err

Now children, mob violence never solved anything.... except for the witch infestation.

I'm not sure how the current feature works, but maybe an idea that could be tried is keeping track of the topics which have been active in the last 24 hours (based on the current time) rather than resetting at an arbitrary time (midnight server central zone). Of course, judging from the time in my posts, the server is in a pretty weird time zone anyway (somewhere in Australia if I had to hazard a guess - which I guess isn't all that weird so much as different from the majority of users since our membership is skewed towards the US), so in the end, people really do check the board quite often around midnight server time.

The time in your posts is determined by your settings - you may still be on GMT.

Either that, or Schik's pulled a really neat joke and put the server in the timezone it's actually in.

Matt

Checking your profile...I'm guessing you should be at -6 GMT if you live in the US. Currently, you are on +6 GMT, which may explain the weirdness.

I apologise very much for bringing up an old post, but I thought it would be better than creating a whole new topic.

Was there any conclusion about this idea? I use the 'search posts from last 24 hours' link all the time, and its quite annoying to get home just after the cutoff time [whenever that is] and have to go through the forums manually looking for new posts. Would be nice if it just listed all posts from the previous 24 hours fullstop, not from a certain 24 hour period.

Glad you brought this up. I'd really appreciate this feature also. It's a lot easier to check the recent post list than check forums individually.

Okay, okay. That link will now show all posts from the last 24 hours.

I once asked schik if he can enable a search by date but he said it wasn't on the top of the list. You can call this a reminder or whatever you want to.
