Not sure if this is a bug or intentional. Anyway, if you enter a room and stand right in the line of sight of en evil eye, it won't wake up if you sidestep immediately. This only happens on the move into the room, so I'm guessing that it has to do with the code for changing rooms. Apparently, monsters don't react to Beethro until he's made his first move inside the room.

You get one free move on the way in. The step that leaves one room and enters the next does not cause any monster reactions. (This turns out to be the cleanest way to program it.)
