Here's my favorite, I think. Without an explanation, you almost can't figure out what the illusion is.

I like that ebaumsworld optical illusion thing under 'magic'... I never got how that works. You hold your breath and stare at a whirling thing and it's like your percetption of space shifts and then unshifts.

I never believed that it's true and I still don't.

Okay I decided today once and for all I will see the truth for myself. I fixed it with paint and lo and behold it was true.And it blew my mind away.

Squares A and B have exactly the same color. It doesn't look like it, but it's true.

I was going to post the checkerboard illusion, as it's one of my favorites. I also like the one posted by Maurog a lot. However, my all-time favorite optical illusion has to be M. C. Escher's "Ascending and Descending". In Lego. The same guy also made Relativity.
