Um...am I the only person who thinks this is some kind of troll? How does someone even find this message board without having any idea of what they are supposed to "do" here? It just seems very odd to me.

You could be right, but I'd say that might be a bit cynical.

Perhaps this user found the DROD.net Forum from an obscure search term reference, perhaps was interested in some of the "Anything" board threads, and wanted to register as a result. Perhaps eventually, he/she (I assume she from inferring from the username, but I may be wrong) may discover the delights of DROD and join the community as a DROD fan.

Of course, if this person is just here to be a nuisance or to attract attention to himself/herself, then a moderator can sort the problem out.

Go into your profile (The last link below the DROD.net Forum banner), select Modify, and put either a URL for a picture or upload a picture from your hard drive where it says "Avatar".

To play DROD, download it from the Sourceforge site (Your profile says you are in the UK, so this is the closest mirror to you, I think).

Once you have finished, open it, select the location to install to, and then start the installation. Once done, run DROD (It may start automatically, or you can use the shortcut icon placed in your Start Menu), and then enter your name in the box that will appear on the game's startup. The main menu will then appear, press "Continue", and you're ready to play.

If you need help in the game itself, just press the "Help" button in the main menu, or press F1 in the game.

And a great game it is. However if you get stumped on a specific room, check out the Hints and Solutions board for ummm, hints and solutions.

There are also people that have made some awesome holds for this game (with difficulties spread out from easy to insanely hair-ripping hard) Check out the Holds board for completed holds. Or, if you want to see some new holds being created, check out the Architecture board.

Theres also fun games and discussions on the Anything board.

If you want to learn more information about this "board game", check out The Official DROD Website, which is wicked-cool.

To wrap it up, there are chock-fulls of things to do around here, just check out each board to see what's going on. And also, I give you a warm welcome to the forums.
