Attached is a sample hold. We need to decide if this is correct behavior.

This seems to be a special case of the discussion in this thread: http://forum.caravelgames.com/viewtopic.php?TopicID=38370&page=0#384745

If there's a force arrow or orthosquare on the other side of the puff, the push doesn't go through. If there's nothing at all, the puff dies on the other side of the gentryii.

Personally, my opinion is that, like the other cases brought up in that thread, every option is weird in some way so we might as well leave it like this.

Okay, my opinion is to leave it as is. Arguments for:
1. It makes visually more sense that puffs pushed across diagonal chains to die on the other side, just as puffs pushed into any obstacle die in the obstacle's tile.
2. Puffs kill Tar mothers on their respective tarstuff, so there is a precedent for puffs to damage things on obstacles.
3. Therefore we can treat moving past the chain as attacking the obstacle.
4. I just think it's more intuitive and discoverable.

Arguments against:
1. You can't kill seep on a wall with puffs (but see For#2).

As for arrows/orthosquares it should behave like Fegundo - those two obstacles take priority over any kind of dying. See: https://forum.caravelgames.com/viewtopic.php?TopicID=40957

I mark it as "Not a bug", open to discussion and being overriden by Mike.

Although you can't kill a seep on a wall with a puff, if a puff over water is pushed into a wall, the water tile doesn't turn into ice. So the puff is dying on the wall - it's just that the rules say the puff doesn't kill the seep.

After reading and thinking through these posts just once, I think I agree with skell.

Is it unreasonable to say that seep don't die by cold? (Can't remember all the vast canon that I'm sure is challenged by making such a statement.)

I checked my earlier post for the discussion where it came up before, and that seems to consist entirely of TFMurphy checking the code and noting that seep survive puffs and musing on why that might be. Of course, I don't know if it was discussed during TSS testing.

http://forum.caravelgames.com/viewtopic.php?TopicID=38370&page=0#384752

For what it's worth, I checked the room search tool and didn't find any published rooms with seep and puffs, fluff, or vents that would be significantly affected if this were changed. Either there were no pushing weapons at all, or the seep was inaccessible to puffs even with a pushing weapon, or you could only do it at a point where you'd be able to kill the seep anyways.

Puffs aren't attracted to seep either, so seep not being killable by puffs is consistent with golems and constructs.
