Okay, my opinion is to leave it as is. Arguments for:
1. It makes visually more sense that puffs pushed across diagonal chains to die on the other side, just as puffs pushed into any obstacle die in the obstacle's tile.
2. Puffs kill Tar mothers on their respective tarstuff, so there is a precedent for puffs to damage things on obstacles.
3. Therefore we can treat moving past the chain as attacking the obstacle.
4. I just think it's more intuitive and discoverable.
Arguments against:
1. You can't kill seep on a wall with puffs (but see For#2).
As for arrows/orthosquares it should behave like Fegundo - those two obstacles take priority over any kind of dying. See:
