The puzzle potential is basically the same as the puzzle potential for the current behavior: using build markers or the build command to change what the bridge becomes.

I guess there's a little potential in being able to drop a bridge but have things that can move in shallow water survive.

Seeing that line in isolation, I should clarify one thing.

Changing this would not break any existing puzzles if we also changed the fact that gentryii sink in shallow water. (They can't move on it, but they don't sink if they end up there.)

Changing that would affect one room that starts with gentryii on shallow water. This could easily be fixed by putting them on ground instead.

Actually - now that I think about it, the latter room might not even break. If you place a monster on shallow water through scripting, it doesn't sink even if it can't move on shallow water. Same thing happens with pits and deep water.

(That behavior is weird, but for flexibility in scripting it's probably best to keep it that way. You can always use another script to kill the monsters if that's what you want in the specific room.)
