Kind of a random question, but what is the meaning of "The Herald of Ragnarok"? I mean is it a reference to a person (Kiera or the antagonist?), or a thing (the Fimbulvetr winter, or the situation in general?)?

It's a reference to a person (Egther) bringing about Ragnarok (endless winter, end of the world, death of the Aesir).

Assuming you're having trouble on the first part of the battle when you first enter the throne room, you'll want to dodge while he is casting his spells. I think you'll need to pay attention to the spell he is casting to work this out, but it's either a left or right dodge.

You don't need the poisoned dagger, but it means you will have to fight him a second time to win the game.
