So far my favorite new weapon is the spear. Of course, I'm only on the Seeding Grounds so I've only seen two of the weapons so far.

I don't see ray-gun on the list. Does that mean it missed the cut again?

The caber came off as a big surprise and I ended up liking it more than I thought I would at the beginning of when I uncovered it.

Speak Really Softly and carry a Really Big Stick

I like the stick the most because it is the simplest mechanically - the other weapons act like the Stick or the Sword depending on strike.

I also like how the weapons have secondary qualities to further differentiate them - cabers + explosives, pickaxe + briar, spear + tarstuff and stick + fluff (I think those are right)

I don't think the stick interacts any differently with fluff (All pushing weapons can knock puffs out) Edit: (but it does work on oremites). Also, I'd note that the dagger doesn't drop trapdoors among other things. The pick also reflects beams at different angles than a sword.

I would say the dagger is a lot of fun to use, although it is a little OP in the rooms that I have seen it in.

"staff + oremites" is, I think, the unique interaction for that weapon.

A staff can cut Puff into fluff, no other weapon can do that.

Any of long hafted weapon (pick axe, spear, staff, caber) can use its non-cutting blows (typically with the haft, except for the pick axe which can do it with the head) to damage fluff and create puffs... and then use those same moves to push the puffs back into the fluff.
