I have the shovel to extact the plant ( the murgot i think), im a rogue and the only message i get is: the plant does not look appetizing

Your character doesn't know that it's mugwort yet. As a non-herbalist, you'll need to find someone who can help your character identify it.

I think you just need to give him a bit of time before he's willing to talk again.

The mugwort quest is optional by the way.

Horrible necro, apologies in advance.

I'm having the same problem as the OP, and also with the willow bark. I'm a lv. 100 herbalist but only figured out what I needed to do to successfully get the mugwort and willowbark after I began ch2.

I'm quietly wondering if that's why I can't access either of them: because I'm no longer in ch1, seeing as the quests for both of them have also vanished.

Would love it if someone can point out a way for me to get said ingredients, because my saves don't go back that far and I really, really, *really* don't want to have to restart simply because of a bug (or, worse, a terrible decision by the devs) stopping quests from carrying over between chapters for some arbitrary reason...

Mugwort - if the LOOK description says that it is mugwort (and not a weed) then it means you have identified it, which means there's no reason why the shovel shouldn't work. Try and make sure the shovel hotspot (small circle) is used on the plant hotspot.

However, if you have a LOOK description where it isn't clear that it's mugwort (which should not be the case if you are a sorceress), then you'll need to talk to Liff about where to get the herb first.

Willow Bark - it may not glow straight away, especially if it's only just become night time - you might have to wait a little bit (or change screens), before it actually glows. It only glows if there is moonlight.

Hope this works, but let us know if you're still having trouble.
