Mages can use a spell to protect them from the heat.
I think Rogues can just lockpick to open the thinger, without using the button at all.

I don't think you can kill Regin. As for Fafnir, you can discover his secret treasure somewhere, and he'll appear and demand it back. You can then engage with him in mortal kombat.

Lockpick the thinger? Where is this thinger, I can't seem to lockpick anything in the room. Maybe I should go back and get the shovel. (Shovel didn't work)
