Heroine's Quest - Should I have sound? (0)

I've only gone as far as character creation, so apologies if it becomes obvious after this but I didn't want to get too far in without first checking.

Should I have heard any sound by this point?

The opening logos and main menu were completely silent, which seemed unusual and I'm not sure if it's simply because they are, or I have run into a problem.
