I have seen:-

1) Johari throwing spear at target
2) Igor chipping a gravestone in graveyard
3) Abdulla Doo on his magic carpet

Also noted that giant at the keep is Brauggi and speaks in Brauggi's style - pity he does not accept apples instead of battle!

Also love that the cave maze is "Twisty little passages all alike" (my first ever adventure was in Colossal Cave in 1979!!)

There's one I literally JUST discovered.

Sometimes, at night, if you click your hand on one of the doors in the city, you'll actually enter one instead of getting a "locked" message.

You'll enter the Brigand Leader's room from Quest for Glory 1, with the Brigand Leader right there.

Of course, lacking a Dispel Potion, you're pretty much immediately slain and get a game over message. Lucky I had just saved XD

For the record, it was the door on the right in the screen with the spear.

You guys should start an Easter egg compilation thread. There are a bunch that I didn't even know were in the game. Include what game the Easter egg references. It can be as little as an item description.

at Bridge Troll (when the troll isn't there), rarely the Air magician from QFG2 (Keapon something) will appear flying riding a cloud ...

At Munarvagir Item Shop, sometimes item from other game series will appear ...
one of them is very shiny gem from QFG1 which you give to Bonehead ...
(strangely enough, you sometimes can TAKE few EE item, which probably can't be used for anything)

Mushroom which being said at Nidavelir, as Poisonous, probably EE from QFG1 which means Fairy Mushroom or Kobold Mushroom (strangely enough you can eat it)

Hand Mirror idea also probably EE from QFG 1 and 2, which can be used for several thing ... (mainly reflection tough, but the way it sued pretty much same ... reflecting magic /hypno, and reflecting light) LOLZ ...

Sometimes when entering Thrivaldi's cave, the Hero from the EGA version of QFG1 can be seen... or rather, his corpse laying on the corner.

Examine text says "You see a poor adventurer who didn't quite make it. It looks like the resident troll is saving him for a snack.

Talk text says "He's dead, jim."

When exiting Svartelfheim, I've seen the Pooka and the magician from A Tale of Two Kingdoms.

There's a chap dressed in dungarees who is fishing at Hoddimi's Holt. Not sure who he is supposed to be!

In Sigrun's shop at Munavargir, I have seen the unexploded ordnance from SQ2 (I think), the fancy dress that Guybrush Threepwood used to enter the Governor's mansion from MKII.

Nice thread!

However, I should point out that "two games both have toadstools in them" does not constitute an easter egg O:-

There's a Super Mario Bros. mushroom in Eitri's room (upside down at the top right corner of the screen). Additionally, eating a "regular" mushroom in Fremont's location makes the heroine grow giant and then she is hit by an 8-bit Goomba coming from the left.

When picking the gemstone in Hoddimi's Holt, the "Item obtained" sound effect from The Legend of Zelda series is heard.

The default name for the heroine is Keira, which sounds like "kyra" which is how Legend of Kyrandia was abreviated in the game files.

Sometimes you can see Snorri's cousin in the prison room who is a modern-day policeman from one of the games I have never played.

When you try to pick the goggles in Eitri's room, the description says "The goggles, they do nothing!" which is from The Simpsons.

One of the lines you can hear in the final dungeon is "It's dangerous to go alone, take this!" which is from the first Legend of Zelda.

This is actually a play on words more than an Easter egg. Keira can also be pronounced like KEE-rah. In the QFG series, the player character would often be referred to as "the hero". If you were to imagine an alternative feminine form of the word hero, it could be "hera" (not to be confused with the Greek goddess) and it wouldn't sound too differently from Keira. :P At least, that was my story behind using that name. Corby may as well have used it as to a reference to Kyrandia.

That would be Sonny Bond from the Police Quest series.

Is there a tip for triggering easter eggs?
For example, are you more likely to randomly spawn one if you saved/reloaded? Is there a time element, or if you waited or slept? Is it enough to simply keep walking back and forth between rooms? is it some kind of magic? I'm not very good at magic, that's why I always play rogues.

I didn't mock you. I have never played QfG3 and I'm not a native English speaker. Why the hostility?

The x-ray goggles from QFG2 can sometimes be found in Eitri's place.

Sonny from Police Quest can be found walking out of the dungeon.

Guybrush Threepwood from Monkey Island can sometimes be found conversing with a monkey in the bar.

The mechanical bird from King's Quest 6 can sometimes be seen at Sigrun's shop.

There's a "Glory" shelf in the library, if you try to use it you'll get a message about browsing a book on Shapeir that has a cat's pawprint on the cover. I was rather frustrated that

I also once encountered banana peel at the screen with the spear. Needless to say that it defeated me effortlessly.

There's Yrolg's grave in the graveyard.

One of the items Eitri has is Bobbin Threadbare's distaff, from Loom. There's also another Loom reference, I think in dialogue, but I can't remember what it was now.

It's hardly a true "Easter Egg," being hidden in plain sight, but the untrue stories you can tell Arngrim are actually the plots of King's Quest 1, Monkey Island 1, and Loom.

You can sometimes find the ghost quartermaster (the one always bopping his head) form Monkey Island in the east part of the graveyard at nights. (the music also reminds me of MKI, but that might just be me ;))

If you mess with the potions in Skrymir's lab (at lest as a thief) you become this small strange EGA heroine version of yourself for a little while.

Reentering the prison cave ended me one time in a totally different cave, and you can be killed by a boulder.

The Moose in the forest "speeches" is all about Monty Python's quest for the Holy Grail. (haven't found any Llamas tho ;)
