For those of you doing the "% evil, % good" website thing: we already had a thread dedicated to that:

http://forum.caravelgames.com/viewtopic.php?TopicID=2046&page=0

Just in case people want to start posting 5 million evil/good comparisons, it should probably have its own thread, which fortunately already exists.

Game on,

South of Leeds, in the Wakefield Metro area. I used to frequent Leeds pubs a long time ago - <cough> about 30/35 years ago <cough> - and go to gigs at the Uni, so the Packhorse was handy. The Hyde Park was another favourite. Just about the only one I get to these days is the New Roscoe, if there's anyone decent playing.

Yeah the New Roscoe is great, though you get a lot of covers bands playing there I've heard. Gotta love the Hyde Park as well. We've actually got a gig tonight at Escobar in Wakey if you're free *wink wink nudge nudge*

I only just noticed your reply, so I obviously missed your gig. Still, it was St Pat's day, so by the time you were ready for going on stage, I would have been incapable of finding my way into town. :drunk

Also: http://www.tailsteak.com/arbuckle has Garfield strips redrawn, with Garfield wiped out. Again, it totally changes the nature of the strip, except it's unlikely to be wiped out because it's a bit more transformative.

Fair enough, it was a nice gig, wish I could have enjoyed it as much as most of the people there but had to drive all the gear back to Leeds so wasn't drinking. How very un-rock'n'roll, and on St Pat's of all days.

This score was written for someone who wanted to convince her mother to quit lessons. (Note: you will need a Silebus Scorch extension to see/play it.) It's funny to listen to it in the context of the story, and I can definitely relate to it. My sister takes piano lessons and can play one song ad nauseam, even after she's played it for the teacher and had it approved. Piano improv is definitely more fun and less like Chinese water torture. Unfortunately, I've recently developed an attatchment to fully diminished seventh chords and my family keeps asking me if I had a bad day at school.

This is pretty funny, for me, at least. You may have already seen it.

Nintendo video game themes, a capella

Includes Super Mario Bros, Tetris, Mortal Kombat, and Zelda. This is one more (with the ja da da da's) that I can't recognize.

This is the same site with this great page.

Perplex City is a combination ARG/puzzle game.

The ARG part spirals all over the Internet, and involves a hunt for a sacred cube stolen from some aliens, who've recruited puzzle-loving Earth residents to help them out. There's clues on the puzzle cards, but most of the clues are on the various websites and blogs and at live events they hold occasionally (they seem to be based in the UK, so UK players have a bit of an advantage there). There's a prize of £100,000 pounds, or US$200,000, for finding the cube.

The puzzle part involves cards, which you buy (my local EB stocks them) and have puzzles on them. They range from red puzzles, which are common and easy (things like 'what number is 3.14159265...) and go up to silver, which is super-rare (my hardest card is a purple card, which involves computer game cheat codes). You only get six in a pack (the packs cost about £2.50 each, so about $5 or $6 US) but they're good quality, with good artwork and the puzzles inside would give you about an hour's worth of entertainment.

You can also put tags on your profile, so you can see how many other players play, for example, 'DROD' (as it is, there's one. Me.) We'd better get that up some.
