So, after a rousing conversation in CaravelNet chat this afternoon that started off with the idea of doing a Steam based MP night, people came up with something even better - a CaravelNet Chat Game Night! Consider this an additional perk for CaravelNet subscribers, and another reason to get a subscription if you haven't already!
Why? We have a perfectly good chat room, as well as a site admin who is nice enough to grace us with new features (That we'll find ways to test out in ridiculous fashion, which is always funny). Plus, it's a good opportunity for people to gather together in a live setting to talk, have fun, and play games.
What games? Interesting and in-depth game suggestions were brought up, but I was thinking for the first one to do something simply like a game or two of
Yahtzee. It's easy to learn, quick to play, turn based, and a lot of fun. If this is deemed a success, we could easily turn this into a monthly feature and look at doing more complex games. I am, however, up for suggestions.
When would we do this? Due to the jerks that are timezones, it will be hard. My initial suggestion would be to try doing this on
Local Time:08-04-2012 at 03:00 PM. Early/mid afternoon for NA people, early evening for Europeans. Hopefully Mike could get the word out in the Illumination as well before this time in order to increase attendance.
I have concerns/ideas! Be sure to list them here! I'm open to public feedback on this!
