I'm not sure. I think I build this hold based off how I play rooms my self. I don't look ahead or count squares or figure out exact moves but fight it out. Not quite brute force but no real delicacy. As such, holds like perfectct... ANYTHING Larry makes are very hard for me to do.
I found this hold fun to play myself because of that lessening of understanding of the rules. And also that there is not single solutions to these problems. That would be frustrating to me as well: needing to understand rules fully that are very hard to comprehend. Perhaps you will also find more enjoyment if you change the play style that you normally attack DROD rooms with.
I like to make things that are new, and if people can find enjoyment out of this different style, then I think that I succeeded.
However, out of all the rooms I think that you will find that 3S 1W captures some of what you are looking for. And a nice thing that I learned is that if you click the stalwart you can find out what it's target is, making their next move predictable.
