By the way, I noticed something. I may be imagining it, but it seems like using shift with another key gives you a faster animation than the battle key. I tried it against spawning roaches and it looked as if it did go faster with shift+swing rather than the battle key swing.

At least I haven't seen a modern (< 6 years) notebook or netbook which does not have it.

Mine doesn't (Dell Studio XPS 1640, and yeah, I'd know if it did.)

macbooks don't have numpads, neither does my asus netbook.
