So, as a mac user I get a

'created with a later version of DROD'

message when I try to import these. Is this because of this I take it?:

DROD: King Dugan's Dungeon 2.0.16 (Windows, x86 Binary) 42MB The full version of DROD: King Dugan's Dungeon for Windows
DROD: King Dugan's Dungeon v2.0.15.1 (Mac OS X, Binary) 59MB The full version of DROD: King Dugan's Dungeon for Mac OS X

Am I forever relegated to be a second class citizen?

It is more likely that you need The City Beneath (which is v3.2.0.83).

It might be enough for you to just download the demo of TCB since I believe the demo is able play user-made holds. Others will hopefully correct me if this is wrong.

Kargaros is correct. These holds were created with the TCB engine, so they require TCB—which is the latest version of DROD—in order to play them. So...download the Mac demo of The City Beneath and you'll be able to import the holds. (You won't be required to purchase the full version of the game in order to play user-made holds.)
Plus, the TCB demo will allow you to play holds made in either of the two previous engines.

Ahh, OK, I have bought that already,but have not got to it yet, still on JTRH..

so I will try with that.

Is there a page around that describes the different game/engines etc? It makes sense now that you pointed out the version number to me, but didn't before that.

I don't know where you can find all the differences between JtRH and TCB; but since you have CaravelNet, you can download the JtRH-hold to TCB (from inside TCB). That way, you can play JtRH in the v3.2.0-engine; and you can just export your progress from JtRH and import it in TCB.

I am quite new, and hadn't been able to find (or overlooked) the engine info in the link mentioned. I was thinking that the Mac version was one behind as I only noticed these versions.
